SBC Warehouse and Behaviour Change Matters

"Our goal is to bring people and content together to maximize knowledge-sharing and management and to encourage the spread of ideas."
SBC Warehouse is a social and behaviour change (SBC) knowledge platform for information, education, and communication (IEC) resources and training materials developed or produced by United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) India. Alongside the SBC Warehouse is an e-newsletter called Behaviour Change Matters that is distributed 6 times per year.
First, the knowledge platform allows anyone with IEC and training requirements related to improving the lives of children through UNICEF's programme interventions to search or browse and download what is already available from UNICEF. Site users can find and share SBC documents, testimonials, reports, and capacity-building resources. Users can also request master copies of original digital artwork or audio/video materials for their own reproduction and use through an online interface. The platform also encourages discussion and sharing on SBC evidence and practice.
Second, in each edition of the Behaviour Change Matters newsletter, UNICEF India highlights examples of best practices from the field and human-interest stories cutting across programming sectors. For example, Volume 25 (October 2023) explores SBC in the distant corners of the rural Indian landscape that has been brought about through people's own voices. For instance, stories from Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh showcase how community radio and community engagement have helped overcome the immunisation backslide caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. Shanti Devi, a community member in Khamaria village who took part in a UNICEF-COLLECT risk communication and community engagement (RCCE) programme, says, "Earlier I was afraid of getting my children vaccinated. I would panic when the child got a fever. But after attending your awareness meetings, I realized that we were putting our children's lives at risk without being informed about the significance of immunization."
